22-250 - Hornady or Winchester ammo in Savage Model 10

Hello, I'm curious if anyone has used the Hornady 55 gr soft point or the Winchester 45 gr jacketed hollow point factory loaded ammo in their Savage Model 10? Mine is a 22" barrel and 1 in 12 (I think). Any other factory ammo recommended?

Thank you.

Would this be for coyote/predator hunting? The 45 gun bullet would be a fair amount more frangible, lighter duty bullet. Then there is the adage about shooting both an seeing what one groups best, others too.

If I wanted to anchor coyotes with authority I'd use the 55 grain soft points.

I have not seen a 22-250 yet that will not shoot the 45gr white box well. My uncle shoots them out of his model 10 predator (22" barrel, 1:12 twist) and I have seen him run them out to a little over 400 yards on steel gongs. If I recall correctly he has only shot 2 coyotes with it so far. The little bullet put them down really hard but made quite the mess of them so it might not be a good idea if you are saving pelts. He also has real good luck with the 50 gr superformance ammo as far as accuracy goes and uses the Federal factory loaded 60 gr nosler partition for deer with real good results. All guns are different though but I would say give it a try.

Thank you all for the info. I ended up getting a box each of the Hornady 55 gr soft points and the Winchester 45 gr JHP. I will give these a try and see how they do.
