Though I have no doubt that they were in the oven for too long (whatever that means) I don't think that was the cause of the problem. The worst that could happen is that the brass got gripped softly. Its not going to allow a slug to drop right through. I still think this is a partialy FL sizing issue.P.S. irrelevant of the colour of the apron brass needs at least 800°F or 425°C for annealing. 300F just doesn't even give it a tan! "I over cooked my brass" NO!
