Just picked up a ruger american predator it has a 1:10 twist shot some 50 gr cheap ammo out of it today didn't do bad sub mom at 100 yards. Just got done glass bedding the action in everything was going to start making. Some loads n fine tuning. Going to be shooting yote's bobcats mountain lion n steel plates. How heavy of a bullet weight can I go with on a 1:10 twist going to be using benchmark Powder.

You should be able to shoot up to around 70gr with most bullets. Some of the longer ones like the Berger 70gr vld and new 69gr tipped matching may be pushing it but for the most part you should be good up to 70gr

Just be careful working up loads. Most 22-250s have considerably slower twists than yours, and faster twist means higher pressure. That is amplified with heavier bullets. So just go slow, and good luck!

benchmark may end up being to fast of burn rate to give top performance for heavier than 55gr bullets. Hodgdon website only shows data for up to 60gr with it.

with that said, I would be looking into sierra 69gr matchking or the tipped matchking.

You might be good up to 70 grain bullets. I have a couple of 22-250 and one will shoot a 69 gr tipped smk and the other one will not. Both guns have the same twist rate. You will likely just have to try it. If the tipped smk doesnt work try the non tipped smk since the overall length of the bullet is shorter.
As far as powder goes for heavier bullets, I use CFE223, 4007(I know its discontinued), RL17, 4350. I have a stock of 4007 but have developed loads for heavier bullets using CFE223 and plan on using that once my 4007 is gone.
