Just don't expect it to be quiet. At that speed it will be every bit as loud as a 22LR.


The accuracy that good match airguns deliver is quite phenominal. To be competitive, a match air rifle must shoot 10 shot groups no larger than .300 MOA and preferably closer to .200 MOA. Now this is indoors so wind and mirage are not a problem, but still phenominal accuracy. Not cheap though with prices running $1500-$3000 without sights or needed accessories.


And like Ridge Runner posted, there are also very large air rifles out there. Don't forget air shotguns. I know a collector who hunts pheasants with an air shotgun quite successfully.
