Anyone using the 22 cal 50 grain nosler ballistic tip lead free on coyotes? How are they on fur? Got an 8” twist 22-250 I’m debating trying them in

A number of years ago I loaded some in my 22-204 in case WA decided to go Lead-Free like CA. I wanted to be ready to hunt instead of sitting home and gnashing my teeth over the stupid politicians.

It killed coyotes and didn't wreck them like the 62gr VG's out of my 6mm-204

This was the last coyote of the season killed with the .224 50gr NLF. When I saw the pelt I quit for the season and WA didn't go LF and I still have a few loaded up in a box incase I go somewhere I need them.

I have a few loaded in my 5.6x50R Mag Combo gun but never killed anything with that bullet in the combo gun. They were accurate and I keep them again in case I need to go lead free somewhere.

The only bullet I have ever seen splash on the outside of a coyote was a 50 gr Nosler Lead Free bullet out of my 1-8 Twist 22-250. By law I have to shoot lead free bullets.

Do you have to shoot lead free bullets?

I have had pretty good results with the Barnes 55 gr MPG Lead Free 55 gr bullets that are now called, M/LE Tactical Bullets #30161.
