22 Creed Factory Rifles

Just put my hands on a Horizon Vandel X rifle that my friend's wife just surprised him with... beautiful rifle. Not cheap.

Vandal X

Chambered in .22 CM.

Awaiting range results.

Hopefully more start hopping on board. While Hornady did get it SAMMI specd it…they haven’t done much in terms of pushing it. Will be interesting if all the factory ammo continues to run through Horizon. If they put their new 62gr ELD VT in a factory offering that would be an excellent load.

I’m still on the fence if I should rebarrel my 22-250…but the lack of backing from Hornady makes me wonder.

I've had all the dies, bullets, brass (Alpha), BA receiver, stock, mag, etc for months and just need a barrel. Hornady and Horizon has turned me off and I'm in no hurry to finish my project.

To be honest, I would have gone the 22-250 route first if brass wasn't an issue. I'm not in a huge hurry as I have a 243 with 8 T, 9.25 T and 10 T and they do almost anything I need them to.

I have a 22 250 as well that is new build , I was going to go 22 250 AI then decided to leave it alone
and just build a 22 Creedmor as 22250 brass was near impossible to find...
I bought 1000 pieces of brass after diligent pursuit on gunbroker ....

22250 is being phased out intentionally by Hornady and the others to
push their new calibers ..

Yeah I had to hold myself back from buying some Lapua brass for the 22-250 the other day. I should be due for a re barrel next spring. I’ll switch because of the brass availability. Plus, my wife’s got a 22 creed being spun up for her SIG Cross now. It’ll be nice to be invested in one cartridge.
