22 nosler or 22-250?

If you are asking "which is better?" I guess I would have to ask "for what?" and know a little bit about what is important to you. If you prefer an AR, then I would have to say 22 Nosler. If you are just talking about versatility and shear speed and power, then the 22-250 takes the win. To put it more simply.......the 22-250 beats the 22 Nosler in almost every way UNLESS you want an auto loader. I have and love both.

I have a 22 Nosler AR, 22-250 bolt-action, and a 22 Creedmoor bolt-action. I've used all three on predators and hogs. I like the 22 Creedmoor best with the 22-250 a close second. I've gradually converted from ARs to bolt-actions. The 22 Nosler AR is good but I'd recommend considering additional options in an AR platform if you plan to reload.

I put my 22 Nosler AR together with Aero Precision Upper/Lower/Handguard, Radian Raptor SD/Talon Ambi Safety, TT Diamond, JP FMOS BCG, JP SCS H2, Proof 22" Carbon Barrel, SLR Adjustable Gas Block, and Dead Air Sandman-S...sometimes Dead Air Nomad LTi. I'm getting around 3,490 FPS shooting factory Nosler 55 gr. BT ammo. I've handloaded 55 and 60 grain Nosler BT with Nosler Brass, CCI 450, and CFE223 and they all shoot great groups. I bought a bunch of the factory 55 gr. BT ammo on sale and I've just been shooting it when I use this rifle. I tried a few different magazines, E-Lander and PRI, and had inconsistent feeding with some magazines until I tried the 10 round Duramags and they work perfect in my rifle. I'm not a fan of the Nosler brass for this round but I believe they are the only ones that make 22 Nosler brass. Whether handloads or factory ammo, the brass doesn't hold up very well in my experience with this rifle even with fine-tuning gas/cycling. The rifle runs without failure and some of the brass could be reloaded but I just treat it as one and done. A few pictures of the 22 Nosler in night and daytime mode:

Yellowhammer, I don't have any experience with 22 ARC.

I have 12.5", 16", and 20" 6.5 Grendel ARs, which is the parent case for 22 ARC. I'm only getting 2,720 FPS with 90 grain Speer TNT handloads in the 20" 6.5 Grendel. It works great but I prefer more speed for predators. I've been using the ELD-VT 62 grain bullets in my 22 Creedmoor and they perform. Combining the 6.5 Grendel case, necked down, and the ELD-VT 62 grain bullets sounds like a great combination with advertised velocity around 3,300 FPS. If I had to choose today between 22 Nosler based on my experience and 22 ARC in an AR, I'd probably go for 22 ARC.

This, and the previous post is some fine information you posted on here. Thank you.
