I have a Spikes Tactical 22lr upper, I've put at least 3,000 rounds through it so far. BlackDog magazines and WallyWorld bulk pack Federal ammo. Mine doesn't like anything else. It's filthy right now, but I could take it out and run another 500 rounds through it and not worry a bit. The thing is like the Eveready Energizer Bunny on that ammo. Fairly accurate, about 1 1/2 inches at 50 yards. Super fun to shoot and you get a lot more trigger time at a fraction of the cost. Helps you become a better shooter.

I don't think Spikes makes dedicated 22's anymore, but Tactical Solutions here in Boise makes a killer upper, a little spendy, but from what I've seen, well worth it.

I am looking for a dedicated 22LR AR upper, but looking for 1" at 100 yards accuracy (with good ammo). anyone have any experience with this?

I am also in the market for one of these. Will the CMMG cycle with standard Vel. target loads...such as loaded by Wolf? I dont suppose anyone assembles a 17cal rimfire upper in M2 or HMR?

The answer is money, what was your question again? There will be little market for the 17 upper as it undoes what the 22lr does. It is not cheap to shoot. Someone will make you one if you are willing to pay for it ( prolly upfront

I recently purchased a Tactical Solutions .22 upper, mounted it on my R/R lower, WOW!! this thing is wicked accurate. Shoots tighter groups than any bolt gun i've ever owned... Only shot it to 50 yds, but from a bench and bags, it will consistantly put 10 rounds under half an inch with good ammo.

I chatted with a couple folks who shot Kies's .22 uppers at
the PM convention last winter and all said they were impressed.
So, given that, I'll be ordering mine yet today or tomorrow.

I have the cmmg. i bought there complete rifle and love it also use a delton upper with the cmmg lower and works great as well. I have thought abought selling it to fund a new project but hate to its too much fun

Another CMMG fanboy here! I built one using a CMMG barrel and bolt and other parts I had laying around. Shoots great once I figured out it needed a rounded hammer. Much better feel than the Chiappa I had.

Had a DPMS worked good sold it though. For what they cost you can buy the 22 S&W complete rifle and be done with it. That is what I did shoots great.

I like the idea of using the same lower each time.
I don't adjust well to different triggers, etc..
