But it would be used for only long range shooting and leave the shorter stuff to my other guns. Sure would be fun to have at the range to impress everyone up there with the chronograph readings, eh?

I was contemplating a 9 twist tube when I had the blonde redone last time. Something to shoot the 69 match kings or 75amax's. In my neck of the woods shots over 300 yards don't happen very often. Settled on the 14 twist. The slower twist seems to shoot the lighter bullets better. (in my experience) I really like the 40 grain sierra HP. Shoots wicked accurate out of it. If I can do my part, the rifle will usually do this.
