.223 ammo in a .223/5.56 barrel??

I was asked a question today "is .223 ammo less accurate out of a .223/5.56 barrel than a .223 barrel?" The reason this was brought up is .223=5.66mm. I'm sure there are a few of you that have shot 5.56. What do you think?

I think you and whoever asked the question are over thinking things a bit. Read your question to yourself out loud? If they are the same thing why would there be a difference?

From experience (limited) my rifle with barrel marked .223 is much more accurate than the one marked 5.56...but I know there is more to it than just that. Not sure if that is everyones experience or not; question 17 from DPMS FAQ`s
