Is there anyway of knowing how far a .223 bullet will drop at any given range? I know that is probably a little naive, but in the Army we had ballistics tables to find out the characteristics of each round. Is there such a thing?
Thanks folks! This is the first centerfire gun I've ever "owned" now I've shot tons of them, but never owned one. Just not sure how far to aim over or low. I have a mil dot scope mounted on it.
Just general info. If I sighted my .223 HandiRifle in at 100 yards. How much do you "think" it will drop at 200 yards? 2"? More? I'm shooting 55 grain jacketed hollow points from Remington.
Thanks! I'm headed out to shoot later tonight. I have a coyote predator control mission set for Saturday in the AM. I don't want to miss because of the rifle. I'd just rather miss the usual way.
