.223 case stuck ...

I thought Lee was the one you could hammer the decapping rod on to drive it out?

The idea above is much more elegant and less likely to bend anything. To me hammers and reloading dies would be like adding fire to gasoline. Mistakes will be made.

I recently had this same problem. You should have primer out lossen primer rod. won't come out cause neck sizing ball is in case. Take ram out of press. screw in die from bottom of press so bottom of case is facing up. carfully drill out primer pocket get rite sized tap, tap threads get some nuts big enough so case can slide thru them put wassher on top of nuts put bolt down thru tighten bolt will pull case out of die. Seen it on you tube cost about 8 bucks

Freeze the Die and case. Screw the case back in to the reloading device. Grab the bottom of the case with some vice grips tap with a hammer. Problem solved. Freezing seems to help. Good luck.

Or a 1/4x20 tap, a 1/4x20x3' bolt, a washer and a deep socket. Works pretty much like the stuck case remover but cheaper if you already have the parts at the house.

Yip. it's about a 3 minute process.

PITA but it happens. I bought a pipe cap large enough to fit the OD of the die. Drilled a hole through it large enough for a 1/4x20 bolt to fit through. Drill the primer out of the stuck, tap the hole 1/4x20, you may need a few washers, screw the bolt into the case and tighten till the case comes out of the die. You will need a small pipe cutter to cut the case in half to remove your decapping rod. Of course the case is FUBAR but you save the die parts. Easy!! Of course during the process you have to use the correct language but you probably did that when you stuck the case.
