So here is my first question which one is it the 22-6mm or 22-243? I think it's the 22-6mm. How good of a caliber is this. I can't seem to find much info on it.

The cartridge was originally a 6mm Rem necked down to a .224 caliber. It was originally called the 22 Clark made in 1964 and then renamed 25 years later to the Texas Trophy Hunter. It was designed to run a heavier (75-80gn) bullet at 3500fps+ for deer and hogs in Texas. It has a 26 degree shoulder and an OAL case measurement of 2.2330". The load data I have in my book shows 49gn or RL-22 pushing a 60gn Nosler at 3800. Same charge, same powder with 64gn Win bullet at 3750. Same powder, 46.5gn, 75gn bullet at 3650. RL-25, 50gn, with 80gn bullet at 3550 fps. I've never owned one, but found all this data in "Wildcat Cartridges" by Fred Zeglin if you want to read more. Looks pretty close to the 22-243.
