Yeap......I've a few of the BR family rounds. No, it's not a problem to reload as long as you are familiar with the process. Just go buy some 6BR cases and start necking down and turn/trim the necks to whatever yours is.

I also have a couple of 22BR's and finally a 6BR. It is easy stuff to neck down and a very accurate round. The case is powder friendly, stick with ball type powders. I shoot H322 in all my BR's.

You can get a form/trim die from Redding for around $30 then I use a Neil Jones shoulder bumping die set for reloading. I like H-322,V-133 or 8208 in my 22br,6br,
6brtalldog. Great round you will like it. Another good site is www.6mmbr.com

If you are new to metallic reloading I would definetly stay away from 22BR. I've got one in a custom Rem 700 switch barrel and while it performs excellent, I doubt it is worth the hassle (and expense) compared to the ease of using other factory rounds. Before you take the plunge, price out Neil Jones dies, neck turners and 6mm Br brass. I doubt you will find it worth the trouble compared to using any number of factory varmint rounds with readily available, low cost components. If you want the benefits of "short and fat", go with a 22WSSM. Otherwise the 22-250 is a superb cartrige that can easily be backed off if desired and even the plain vanilla 223 does a credible job, is easy to reload and components practically rain out of the sky!

FYI W748 is my favorite powder for 22BR along with with Watson 52 Gr. Trophy Match hollow point bullets.

I have a cooper 22br, and for mine resizeing brass is no problem, but I have a tight neck so I need to neck turn mine. I would agree with the others that if you are new to reloading, I would maybe shy away from it. But if your chamber is set up for a neck that does not need to be turned, its about as simple as any other cartridge. Mine likes the vv135 by far over any other powder.

I have a custom Remington 700 in 2BR. It was built by Mike Bryant of Wheeler, Texas. I consider him one of the top smiths in the country. This rifle is the most accurate rifle I own. It likes Varget and N135 powder, and 50 grain bullets. I would like to shoot 40 grain bullets, but they are so short they don't leave enough bullet in the case.

Mine uses Lapua cases. Ask your riflesmith whether you have a Lapua cut chamber or a Norma chamber. I also have a tight neck and have to turn my brass. Lapua brass is also a little pricey, but the best quality brass I have ever purchased.

Necking down the 6mm brass was no deal the first time around, but I agree with the others that said the 22BR is a round for an experience reloader.

Bob Addy, When did H322 become a ball powder? All that I have been shooting for 20 years has been short stick. I have had great success with Benchmark in my 22BR.

22BR is easy as anything else to reload. Get your rifle chambered for no-turn neck using Lapua brass (which is currently in short supply).
