22GT AR15

I was curious what they used for a bolt, looks like 458 socom. Having broken 3 Grendel bolts, that worries me as it's even thinner. They must be having good luck with them though.

It should be impressive. I've been having fun with a 22 ARC using a compressed load of CFE 223 & 50 grain Nosler ballistic tips at 3630. Case capacity definitely gives you something to work with.

Which manufacturers? Im in the middle of assembling a 6 Ark upper, and being a cheap ass, I'm having a hard time shelling out for the JP or Rexus bolts.

I'm using Tool Craft and ordered an extra bolt from Midway. Faxon. I must be lucky because I've been shooting a 6 ARC for a couple years. I load 100, 103, 105, 107 & 108 grain bullets with no problems yet. I don't load light and have been hammering the 22 ARC but do have an extra bolt now that I said this.

The last one was a Young Manufacturing, which was noticeably thicker than most. I couldn't believe it as I didn't think I was loading hot either. This was for the 243 lbc and 6 predator wildcats, which are basically a 6 arc. The other two were cheapies, I think a Radical and Ammo and Arms? or something like that. Approximate round count 1500 or so. Now I'm using a Brownells, which has a warranty, on my Grendel. I have a spare lol. The other thing was I was only shooting suppressed, which adds back pressure and probably, most certainly, contributes to bolt stress.

Not trying to hijack the op thread though. It will be a neat build. Just watch that bolt, there's a reason the 458 and 450 BM are low pressure rounds. Magazines are the other issue, a 450 bushmaster mag might be the ticket there.
