I shot the CCI subsonic from my suppresed rifles and from my non-suppressed 10/22. If it is under 50 yards I have found them to be more auccurate rounds then the standard CCI ammo. I haven't tried them on groundhogs, but I have used subsonic on p-dogs in upwards of 100 yards.
