does anybody have any loads for this using the 115 berger vlds? im shooting a remington lss and cannot seem to find the right combo, cant seem to get it to shoot less than abount an inch at 100. never been so frustrated. thanks

I shot 69g of R#22 with a fed 215, work up to that load in your rifle if you try it.

Go over to www.24hourcampfire.com and do a search on 257 Weatherby. It will take you a while, but you will find guys with your gun shooting the 115g Berger.

Nothing seems to get people mad like discussing the 257 Weatherby, I'm glad the moderators on this site do not let things get out of hand like they do on the 24hourcampfire site.

Best of luck!

I have a remington chambered in 257bee and it is looking like it will favor the lighter bullets better I can darn near one hole the 100 gr ballistic tips but I think the 110 gr accubond might be as heavy as I can go

don't get real excited till you shoot the vld's at 300 and 400 yds .Sometimes they will shoot groups as tight at 300 as they do at 100,they seem to just go to sleep at 200 and just settle down. Pay heed to what JBPRECISION had to say about seating depth!!!

I have always had the best results with the VLDs jammed hard into the lands. Sometimes as much as .040" into the lands. However that may not be possible in a Weatherby chamber unless it was cut without all the freebore.

Jack, I've also had the best luck into the lands. But on another note Brian Litz posted a test they conducted for people having trouble getting them to shoot where they were out as much as .120 if I remember correctly. I can check and post it if it would help anybody out. JB
