Any suggestions for preferred powders and bullets, especially for longer ranges?
This is a new caliber for me, so I'm starting over....again.

What kinda shootin' iron you got?

I don't have one yet. I just sent the parts and pieces down the road today.

Mostly hunting, but I'd like to have a steel ringing load too.

It's gonna have turrets, Seekins bottom metal for AICS mags, and an 8.5 twist, so I should be OK with the heavies.
It went in the mail yesterday.

I have a Sako TRG-22 in .260 on order. Should have it within a couple weeks. The majority of long range 260 shooters seem to like H-4350 with 130gr or heavier bullets. I plan to try that and also RL-17 for starters.

Let us know how you make out.

I sure hope so Tim.
I've spent a lot of time and money trying to pinch pennies and piece stuff together.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.

123g amax for steel/coyotes
120g nbt for deer

95g vmax is a nice coyote bullet as well, just not out to as far as the above bullets due to a much lower BC, still good out to 600-700 yards

I see the H4350 mentioned more than any other powder.

.260 is not a standard caliber for the TRG. Euro Optics is a big distributor for Sako and contracted them to do a special run of 200 TRGs in this calber. They are only available through Euro Optics.
