The last three coyotes that I have killed have all been females. All shot with 6mm ARC 75gr Vmax. Howa mini 20''. NocPix Ace L35

1. A buddy and I went out to his club which has some really nice sized fields. We set up and I started with cagie cottontail, but drew a blank. I swtiched to FOXPRO Young Coyote Howl and in the middle of the call two coyotes appeared out of the woodline directly across from the call. They came out into the field and started working from our left to our right. I told my buddy that they were working downwind of the call. Whenever they got comfortable enough they turned right to the call and started coming. I was watching them through my scanner as he was on my scope. I kept telling him to wait, wait, wait, and what I forgot to tell him is try to not take a frontal shot, wait until it turns. Well, I told him that it was close enough so whenever he felt like shooting he was fine. By this time the coyote was around 100 and closing. The coyote stopped facing us and he shot. The RAV did not come on so I don't know exactly where he hit, but the coyote flopped so I turned to find the other in the scanner and my buddy started yelling "he's running, he's running" so I say "I know, try to get a shot, I'm going to try to stop him". Then he replied "no, my coyote, he's running". So I scan back over and his coyote is running to the wood line. The other made it back to where they came from and disappeared. I told him to hang right and I took over the rifle. I started playing a few various sounds and about ten minutes later looked behind us and there was a coyote walking away from us. I stopped it at about 100-110 yards and ground checked it. Kinda short female, but man was she heavy.

2. I went to a property that I haven't hunted since this past summer. Whenever I got out of the truck I scanned the field and seen a coyote walking across the field to the far woodline along with about 20 deer. I hurried and got everything set up and turned on a rabbit, can't remember which and she turned right at the wood line and started looking my way. It took about a minute then she started coming right to the call. Bang flop.

3. I have been hearing a pack in the back corner of a field on the neighbors land. For some reason I can't get them into the field. Well last night I sat up on the road going all the way to the property line. Very short road so if one rounded the corner I'd have to make the shot in a split second. I turned on cagie cottontail and about a minute later I scanned to my right and this ol girl was making a 90 b line right to the call. She stopped 20 yards in front of me and I smoked her. Perfect shot right behind the shoulder, but she still turned and ran about 40 yards before she piled up. Very discolored teeth so she had some age on her.

Congrats.
good story and I guess you might be likin the thermal

Seeing three females in one area is exciting — whether you’re tracking patterns or planning stands, those kinds of sightings can really change how you approach the next outing. It’s also a reminder how much local conditions and animal behavior should guide decisions rather than just generic advice. When I’m evaluating tools or strategies in any hobby, I like to check resources like Municorn Fax because they break things down clearly and help you focus on what’s truly effective instead of just noise.
thanks for the information!
