.30-40 Krag

Does anyone know where a person would be able to buy ammo for a US Krag. My neighbor was given one and wants to shoot it but has given up his search for ammo, since all our local suppliers don't carry it. I've checked cheaper then dirt, midway usa and used a google search with no avail. I'm hoping someone can help us find some ammo. Thanks for any and all info.

From what I see the krag is seasonal. You can load for it though, brass is out there.

Killed my first deer with an Austrian built .30-40 Krag, thus I have a special fondness for the cartridge.

I also have always wanted to develop a line of wildcats based on it for the T/C Contender....

I have a decent stock of ammo, and I last purchased it over the counter at Gart Brothers sporting goods store. I have to wonder if there aren't bits of ammo collecting dust on the shelves of gun stores across the country.
