300 Blackout powder?

I am putting my 300 Blackout together next week, and have everything I need to load for it except powder. I have some 125 grain Noslers to try.

What powder would you try?

It will be shot out of a 16" AR.

I'd like to find some W296. What do you think?

I load my 16" with Lilgun 19.5 and 20.0 grains with the 125gr Nosler Ballistic Tip Hunting. It shoots really well. AA1680 also works well. Haven't tried W296.

I shoot Nosler 125 BT's with H110 (same as 296) with very good results in my 16" barrel. My load is 1/2 grain lower than Hodgdon's max with LC brass and RP 7 1/2 primers. I seat to Hodgdon's recommended length at 2.060" By the way, I've found LC is the best brass to convert to Blackout. Work up as usual as guns and chambers vary. I'd definitely give Win 296 a try and it has been available lately.

I agree with the above posts. I have chronographed probably 10 different powders and for me...the most accurate powders are H-110 (w296) and AA 1680. I have a 16" 1-7 twist remington and a 8.2" 1-7 twist noveske. Those two powders rose to the top in the accuracy department. I am now loading H-110 for both sububsonic and supersonic loads.

What is PD 1000? Never heard of it. Search didn't help much. You have a link?

Kevlars- just taking a poke at the BO devotees who are among the most fanatical on the net. Lots of big claims have been for this tiny little cartridge. But we all have our magical favorites I reckon.
