I don't have one in a hunting rifle, but I have one in a 1000 yards competition heavy rifle. I use H4831SC with a 210 grain Berger bullet. 4350 works almost as well for me.
I use the new IMR4007ssc powder that was recently developed specifically for the short mags. Uses 15% less powder to get the same velocity which also means that you will not be compressing max loads.
Near max dose of H4831sc and the 180 grain Nosler Partition. Chrono'd at 2935 fps. Groups right at 1" at 100 yards. Took it to the 500 yard target range and was hitting about 60% of the clay targets I was shooting at. Plenty good for the 200-300 yard deer and elk I hunt!
