I want to do some loading for my #4m2 rifle. Got dies and some herters brass. Gonna try some 308 190s till I can get some 174-180 .311bullets. Looking at powder to use? I ordered an 8lb jug of h4895. Wondering what is the commonrun powder? See 3031,4064...not going to use varget I have wc842, wondering on it since I can use it I 308 with147-150class easy then I could burn the h4895 in my 223s.

When I loaded for my jungle carbine in the 70s I ran 47g BLC2, 150g bullet.
It shot as good as my 1903A3 Springfield.

The new American Rifleman has a 303 load using CFE-223----43.0grs----Hornady 150gr interlock-----2673fps. Crimp recommended

One thing to remember that the 303 head spaces on the rim, but you should really set your die to headspace oñ the shoulder as the Enfields can be very loose as they are designed as a battle rifle and must chamber rounds in all condition ànd never designed for reloaded rounds so casehead seperations can become a problem if you set shoulders to original specs.
