.32 H&R Mag. ?

This is a great round.I have a Ruger single action.I had a Ruger SP 101 which was a good pistol but traded it.Marlin makes a lever action in this round.Alot of women use this round in cowboy action.

The new .327 mag is supposed to have the ability to shoot .32 mag ammo. Kinda like the .357 and the .38 special. One of those in a side arm would have a bit more flexibility.

The new 327 Federal Magnum looks pretty interesting as well.
There's a good article in the Fed. Shooting Times about it.
It also performed well in some tests using a Contender Carbine.
The 32Smith and 32H&R can be fired in the 327Mag also, kinda like the 38---357.
Ruger will be releasing the SP101 around June per the article.

Just a little food for thought???????????

SKB,,,,,,,,You posted while I was typing. You obviously use more than one finger to type with. That's cheatin.

I have one of the earlier super single sixs and love it. great small game round and I have also shot 32 short and longs as well as some 32acp in it also. I am wondering if the cylinder is long enough to have it rechambered to 327. anybody got a clue?

shooter,,,,,,,,,The article says they intentionaly made the case 1/8" longer than the H&R so the 327 couldn't be chambered. They were concerned about some older revolvers not handeling the pressure's.

I bought one over the summer its an sp101, and boy let me tell ya its really fun to shoot, but on the flip side its fairly expensive to shoot if you dont reload.

If you are a reloader its gonna be a great little gun, mine is really accurate, more so than I thought it would be. And you can load up and shoot the smaller 32s like was said before. I have read that its got more energy/power downrange than a .38spl, but I cant confirm this. I have also heard folks talk about some stout loads in their rugers/tc's that have alot of pop to them.

It would be good for anything from squirrel to fox, possibly even yotes if they came into handgun range.
Whatever the target this round gets a Huge /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif from me. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Good luck and have fun with it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

I no it will not chamber in a standard 32 h&r chamber, just thinking might need to call one of the custom smiths and see if they will lengthen the chamber of a 32 H&R to the new 327. need to measure my cylinder when I get home and see if it would be long enough I guess.

And they said I didn't learn a dxxn thing in 7th grade typing class.

I'm thinkin a .327 mag in a carbine length 'tender might be alot of fun to plink with.

Here's a link (I think) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif to the article that show's all of the tests and specks.

shooter,,,,,,,I bet a quick call to Ruger would answer your question reguarding your revolver. Ruger's are h-ll for strong so hopefully your's can be retroed.

skb,,,,,,,,I was thinking a little Marlin lever gun would be a pretty nice companion to the SP101, but the Contender would be fun too.

The 32 H&R is the same ballisticly as the old 32-20 "somthing old is new again." I don't know about the 327 I just got a shooting times but haven't read the article yet and as in most gun mags I am sure the article is geared to sell "the newest thing on the block" I would wait a year or three before jumping on that bandwagon

would be a single six or super single six in 32 H&R. The super single six's bring $400+ in all the auctions. You can get a new 30 carbine blackhawk for $350 or so. 30 is really loud though!!!

I have two that I have had slicked up and short stroked.
They are really a nice set. I have not shot magnum loads in them but I have been thinking of carrying one with me on hunts for dispatching. Small and light.
They are not just for women.

Pack,... who won the 2007 Colorado State Blackpowder SASS competition with them.
