A friend of mine is looking for some rat shot for his .380 I've been unable to find it anywhere and was wondering if anyone could please tell me where I might be able to locate some. Thanks

I've never seen any, but there might be some made. Can't imagine that it could have enough shot in it to be very effective.

Are you kidding?
I killed a rat last night and tonight with 22lr rat shot.

I have killed 7 or 8 with the 22lr rat shot in the past year or so.

They live in palm and pine trees near my house and occasionally get into one of my pine trees. When my German Short-haired Pointer starts going nuts I grab the bolt action 22 rifle and a flashlight and go out back.

She will be under the tree pointing the rat. I just shine the light and find it and shoot it.

None have ever taken more than 1 shot. I kills them dead!

CCI produces a lot of handgun birdshot...

They do, but they use a plastic capsule with a very square nose and it won't feed in an auto pistol without shattering on the magazine lips/feed ramp. They are very fragile, as they need to break up on exit.
I loaded some of their .357 empty capsules with #6 shot for grouse, they're quite effective. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
