Hey guys. Haven’t been on much with life happening. But I’ve got a question. I built a 14.5” socom. Been shooting 300gr Nosler ballistic tips and 405gr Remington’s. I use rl2400 since I’ve got about 10lbs of it. I’m wondering if anyone with quik load could give me a max charge. I use 29.5gr and seat to crimp groove. Shoot pretty well too. But today while looking I seen a guy post that he uses up to 36.5gr with a 300gr bullet. I’m not sure I believe it. But just wondering if I’ve got room to work up more. I haven’t ran my crony with my loads but will sooner than later. Thanks for any help gusy
 
Well QL shows using the 30 Nosler at 2.030 and 29.5 of Alliant 2400 a pressure of 44,842.
Loading it with 36.5 predicates 60,551. Normal pressure levels are at 35,000.

This is a computer model and you seem short.

If you load it to 2.200 the 29.5 load drops to 29,459 and the 36.5 load goes to 47,506.

Loading a 405 Rem at 2.200 shows 35,294 with 26.55 of 2400.
