I suspect they have pretty much the same pressure specs but the Lott has a larger case and holds more powder. Much like a 280 Rem and a 7mm Rem Mag, they both run at about the same pressure but the 7mm Mag holds more powder and moves abullet faster.
the 458 Lott runs SLIGHTLY higher pressures, sort of.
The Lott's SAAMI max, as submitted by A-square is:
62,000 PSI.
The WM is: 53,000 CUP.
However, CIP specs it at: 62,000 PSI
So it depends, SAAMI or CIP.
The lot beats the WM by @ 10 grains in the case capacity game.

The solids are but not the 458 vmax's.
Fur friendly? My .458 has accounted for only two animals, one a 300# wild pig sow which didn't go anywhere after a 450 gr Remington partition hit her in the forehead.
The second was a jackrabbit. At the time, I didn't have a suitable rifle but was asked to go on a coyote hunt. I didn't get a reasonable shot, just a very brief snapshot at one outbound before it got into the junipers. So, annoyed, I took it out on a dumb jack. 300gr JHP at 2400 fps made it hard to find anything to identify but left a large trench where it used to be!!! Don
