475 Barnes XPB bullets for 480 Ruger.

Just recently picked up 100 of these Barnes bullets for my 480 Ruger and I'm in need of some load data for them. It's hard to find load data for a pistol round that didn't live long.

I think that he is referring to the bullets being .475" diameter. The bullet weight is more likely to be 275 grains.

A 475 grain bullet would not leave much room for powder that's for sure.

I have run lots of 400gr bullets out of my .480. Even took an 8 pt. AND a Robin with them. 8pt. buck went 25 yds. and fell over. Robin exploded like a firework.......

Sorry guys, yes the 475 is referring to the diameter. They are 275 grain Barnes XPB bullets that I'm trying to get load data for. Go some data from Barnes but they only list 3 different powders, all of which are oddball powders to my area. I do have some loaded with Hornady 400 fly rain bullets and there isn't much more room in case for powder.

Thats why i was asking, he never mentioned a specific weight. I know the diameter is .475 but that weight is awfully heavy for the 480. I shoot a 420 grainer out of mine and its a handful.
