Having trouble finding 5.56 x 45 load data for my AR. I Have a Western Powders download, but it only has a couple powders that I have.
Pretty big difference between 223Rem and 5.56 x 45 powder charges and velocities.
What manuals have you guys found that has a large variety of bullets and powders in 5.56?

The write up in the Nosler manual confirms that their data is actually .223 safe. Confirming that the data is not 5.56 data.

I have not seen anything to indicate that the Sierra manual is 5.56 section. I have always been suspicious that the Sierra manual took a hogged out Colt chamber and brought the pressures of to SAMI max. That would be a higher powder charge than a min spec SAMI chamber.

Hornady has a 5.56 section. If you cross compare it with the .223 section you will find some interesting and conflicting results.

For the most part the Western Powder load data is the best. I have taken 2 loads right up to the listed max with TAC & A2520 and not had a problem with pressure. Make sure you are using WSR primers and WW brass or LC brass.

The 9th edition Hornady manual has a special section for service rifle, which picks up where the .223 Rem leaves off, as far as bullet weights is concerned. I thought I read somewhere that it's still 223 Rem data though. Does the 10th edition have more than 2 or 3 bullets weights actually listed under 5.56?

Yeah, the Sierra manual even says "223 Remington (AR-15)", and does not specify pressures. Geeze.
