which primers are you using for 6.5 CM for small primer pockets, standard or magnum? I notice the star brass info recommends standard.

Definitely stick with mag primers for the thicker cup to helps prevent primer flow around the firing pin or piercing. The hotter primer will also help with positive ignition to prevent hang fires in colder temperatures.
CCI 450’s, BR4’s, and Remington 7.5’s are the way to go.

You’re thinking about 400’s. 450’s, BR4’s, and 41’s all have the same cup thickness.
