6.8 spc mags?

Got the parts I needed to finish my 6.8 spc build and all I need is a few mags now. What would you recommend? will a standard 556 mag work?
 
Has anybody tried the new 6.8 AR Stoner mags from Midway? I just ordered two 17 rounders. I saw they didn't have a real good customer rateing, but most that complained said they couldn't get a full 17 in the mag. I will most likey never put in more then 10-12 rounds. The ten round AR stoner mags had a really good customer rating and they are made by the same company. Anybody used them?
 
I havn't had very good luck with the C products mags in my Grendel. Ohwell I'll give them a try. I wish Magpul would make Pmags for the 6.8 and Grendel!
 
PRI mags are great and are the first line mags imo. The 'new' C products should have their 6.8 mags out in January or so and they should be gtg. They are supposed to have 2.3 oal capability. My 6.5 DTI is a hunting rifle and I use a PRI 10 rnd as my standard mag. My 10 rnd C product works great also but have to hold the oal back a bit. TTT
 
Ill check out pri. I was really hoping pmags made 6.8. I love my 223 pmag but have since traded that gun for my short mag but kept the mags. Lord knows ill run across another 223 soon
 
Thanks for all the help I give u all credit for all the know how on ars and predator hunting I have acquired and I started with none just a year ago. Merry christmas as well

I'm looking at 10 rd mags to legally hunt anything here in missouri and ill let you know how it turns out
