6 pos or fixed a2 stock?

I recently picked up a RRA varmint a4 18" bull upper and slapped it on a cmmg lower with a 6 pos stock. Its was my first ar and the 6 pos stock seems kind of wierd with a front heavy bull barrel. what do you prefer on your rifles a fixed or 6 pos. The 6 pos would make it easier to store in safe and truck but its not about convienece. I think the fixed a2 would feel alot better and wouldnt have the little but of rattle i get between the buffer tube and stock (which could be wrapped with some tape to tighten it up on tube though) just wanted some opinions before I dropped 75$ on a a2 assembly.

I have come to prefer the six position stocks for hunting. Iusually replace the factory stocks with some type of Magpul stock to get rid of the rattles, and they fit better, too!

The A2 stock is actually pretty light so it won't do much for the nose heavy feeling. I wanted to not like it, but had to admit the ergonomics of the A2 are also very good.

If you want to have a multi position stock, the clamp on the Magpul CTR locks it solidly to the buffer tube. Since you're running a scope you should know there are cheek risers for the CTR.

The magpul UBR adjusts and it is rock solid like a bank vault (making it heavier). It also has a way to index to your favorite position, and looks pretty cool to me.

I also have the magpul ubr stock on my stag model 6 varmint. The weight seems to balance my gun better especially with the 24 inch barrel and a mark ar scope.

I had a Magpul UBR on my gun for quite a while and loved it except for the weight. I decided to put my AR on a diet and sold the UBR and replaced it with a SOPMOD stock from B5. It's not as light as some of the other stocks, but it's about 9-10 ounces lighter than the UBR i had and the cheek weld is great. I am loving it.

My lighter weight build that I am finishing up on Monday has a Ace Skeleton stock- I really like it too.

I choose A2 over 6pos. Give better cheek to stock well position and an all around more steady platform. For me anyway. I have a Magpul PRS which is great but not the cheapest route. If you have no use for the weapon to be shorter and are using it for and long range-varmint rig go a-2. IMHO.
