60 gr Ballistic Tip for .223 Remington

I had really great groups.5"-.75" with a Sierra HP using 23.0g of TAC col 2.282". For me those groups are very good, at least for age 64 wearing tri focals.

Great choice I shoot a 60 grain Vmax in my Dtech. They are very accurate for me and hit yotes hard.

I use 24 grains of either W748 or H335 with the 60 grain vmax, with Win cases and CCI mag primers. These are loads for my AR.

I have also had great luck with the 55 grain vmaxes as well. For the bolt guns I use 25.5 grains of H335 and hte 55's.

Hardcast...........i assume you are talking about the new 60 gr. balistic tip from Nosler, right? If so, I too would like to know if any of the resident reloaders have found any good recipies for this bullet as I am about get into reloading and this new Nosler might be even better that the 60 gr Vmax as it has a boattail design and I think is just a little heavier construction than the vmax? Nosler does list a few recipies on their website, but they look to me to be generic as they post the same load for this bullet and the 60 gr. partition? NOSLER link

There is no reason to list another load - both bullets weigh the same, and you need to start low and work up anyway.

Listed loads are only guide lines to get you started - so there is no need for a second load, which would mean nothing to anyone.

TTFIJI, yes I am talking about the 60 grain Nosler Ballistic tip. I gues I will just follow the load data for the Partition and work up my load. Thanks for all the response.

I saw that these bullets have a BC of .270 compared to the 55gr of .267. They also have a cannalure. A 70 to 80 gr BT would be more interesting I think. Ryan
