60gr nosler 22-250

I wish I could help, my barrels are all twisted old and slow. A long time ago I settled on Speer.52gr FB HPs.

I shoot the 55 grain Nos BT from my 24 inch 223 REM.

I have yet to find a more accurate bullet. It is the only bullet i have tried that shoots 5 shots in the 4's - 5's consistently.

Price and availability over the last couple of years has somewhat led to me to the Hornady 60gr V-Max. Which also shoots very, very well.

The Nosler is a tougher bullet with a completely different design. Arguably better for 250 velocities on bone.

The 55 NBT is a fine bullet; clocked @ 3130 from Bushmaster Predator 1:8 20" barrel. Shot equally well in Savage which I believe was a 1:9.
Great combo on coyotes and not all that hard on Bobcats either.

My last ,22-250 wouldn't shoot 60s. Nor would my.222 Rem. Mag. But my .223s like them, I shoot 60 gr. V-Max and 63 grain Sierra semi pointeds in all of them, bolts and ARs.

I'm not using them in a 22-250 but I do use them in my AR in 223. These bullets are very accurate out of my AR. I've smacked several coyotes and none have been able to withstand more than one hit of the 60gr Nosler bt moving at 3,000fps. In my experience, this bullet does hold together better that other varmint bullets. I haven't had any "splashes" however I'm not pushing them at 250 velocities. Overall, I really like this bullet for coyote hunting, but sometimes it's not fur friendly. Side note, I'm currently in the process of a custom 22-250 build with intent of shooting the 60gr Nosler bt.
