It sounds like about the closest thing to a 243 you can get in a small frame AR. Sounds like 3500FPS with a 55gr bullet is a reasonable expectation.
I had a DPMS LR243 and loved everything about it except it was a tank. You can only lighten those things so much. This sounds like a great option and I think I might take the plunge. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with it. Thanks. He also has a new 270ar he is developing that sounds like it would be a hot setup too.
I have a 6MMBR AR that was built by Dtech. It shoots great. I was mostly shooting it with 105VLD's at the 600 yd targets. But I did shoot some 55's in it for PD's once. I didn't like it for PD's because it kicked just enough to make me miss the hits. It is hard on the expensive Lapua brass. I never tried to shoot it as a repeater, even though it is possible with a mod to the bolt and if you have a mag. from BRAT rifles who specialize in 6BR for competion. Let me know if you want to talk about it and I will PM you my phone number. I quit shooting it because it was so hard on brass. I replaced it with a Custon Savage F class 6BR.
