I finally got a shipping confirmation today. The Fedex man should be here this week. I have also compiled most of the components for rolling my own. I still need the actual bullets I will be shooting as well as neck bushings for my Hornady dies. It is always expensive to get things setup for a new caliber you don't have, especially one like this.
I am putting together a 223 upper for my dad at the same time and will post pics of it as well. It will have a Daniel Defense barrel. I am anxious to see how their CHF barrels shoot.
I Have a Noveske and a PRI handguard. I am not sure which one will go on which upper. I scored some BCG's from Joe Bobs. I got BCM Gunfighter charging handles for each one as well as YHM low pro gas blocks. My dad's rifle will have a Leupold 3.5-14x50 scope. It is an LPS model I don't think they make anymore. It is pretty nice with a 30mm tube and side focus though. It will be mounted in a PEPR mount. My upper will have a Trijicon 3-9x40 in a JP mount. The glass on this scope is unbelievable. The quality of the JP mount is exactly what you would expect. Perfect workmanship, flawless machining, and excellent fit and finish.
I am super pumped to put both of these rifles together. There will be many pics and reviews to come. Anyone have any Hornady 6mm neck bushings they want to unload? More to come!!!
