6mm GT - Anyone using one?

I did a search before making this post and kept receiving the error message; Search is too long or too short

I'm going to make a new caliber this year and I'm looking at the 6 GT or the 7 SAUM. I know the SAUM is way over kill, but I have other uses for it as well.

Those using the 6 GT, what barrel twist and bullet are you using? I'll be using an 18" barrel and plan on shots up to 400 yards.

I'm not concerned about the hides.
 
I shoot a 6GT at steel targets. Barrel is a Proof prefit 1:7.5 twist. I shoot Berger 109 grain Hybrids. It's in a MDT stock and it's heavy but it's an absolute hammer. I shoot mine out to 1k yards regularly; fun to see impacts on steel.

What barrel length are you running?
 
Barrel length is 26 inches. I wouldn't go that long of I wanted to use it for night time coyote hunting. I'd probably go 22 inches, but I also like to run a suppresor.

I've not had a GT, but have been on both side of it with multiple 6 Dashers and 6x47 Lapuas.

If going with the 18" tube, I would consider stepping up to the 6x47 Lapua to gain some speed back.

I have two 18" 6x47 Lapuas, and both are at 3000 with 105/108 bullets.

If I person had a 6 gt and a 7 saum , they could kill about anything in the USA !
