6mm Hagar brass

Got myself a 22 nosler for hunting and am looking for some Hagar brass to bring out all I can with this cartridge. Anyone have any leads on some?

I haven't had any luck finding Hagar brass either. When it is available I may just switch from 22 Nosler to the 6 Hagar, or possibly a 22 Beast, so the shoulder won't have to be bumped back. I hate forming brass for an AR because I loose so many pieces of it. I have considered contacting Starline to see how many pieces of brass you have to buy to get a custom run made. They are already making 6.8 so Hagar or 22 Nosler sized brass without a rebated rim isn't too far out of line for their current tooling.

Hagar is not SAMMI so it will be interesting if Starline does it. I doubt the consistent demand is there but who knows. They are sure stepping up the rifle stuff though and that is good.

Is there a such thing as a group buy in brass?
With a large enough order would starline, Peterson or hornady build "nosgar" brass.

I would commit to 1000 pieces

Yep. It usually takes between 50-100,00 cases being ordered with cash up front if they want to make them. Generating $100-$200,000 isn't easy. Considering guys here didn't want to tie up $125.00 for three or four months success/interst might be low. Time line for brass production varies from 8 months to a year.

As I mentioned Hornady might have the lock along with Creedmoor Sports since they designed the HAGAR for production. Stranger things have happened though.

You ever herd cats? I suspect even Midwest Predator wouldn't even touch this one. If someone wrote me a check for $250,00 I could get it done but I wouldn't even consider dealing with 1,000 guys handing me $250 each. That collective process would probably take about 2 years if we were lucky. You guys want to trust me with $250,000. Lots of fraudsters in the gun business have stolen more. B&D still have my $500.00 for my Bren 10.

It's a sad situation, it's inevitable how popular the 22 nosler chambering has become and we all know that the weak link is the brass.

The sad part is that not one brass manufacturer is willing to make factory nosgar brass. Even though they already produce 6.8spc, just a lil longer with a 22 neck and boom. problem solved and a new popular product

I can agree with that. I really think the general public wants an OTC cartridge and share little of our interest in the practical aspect of NOSGAR brass.

I'm waiting for the summer run of Hagar.
