Any of you own this scope? Opinions? Midway USA has them on sale for a good price thought about getting one. I've read that a sunshade looks really crappy and doesn't do it's purpose very well???

Thanks....

Gene

I own his scope with the mil-dot reticle. I think its a great scope for the money. Cant comment on the sunshade as ive never used mine.

I have one with fine crosshair and dot. It works good for me. I've used it to 700yds. The sunshade looks a little funny because the front of the bell rounds off, but it works as it should.

How do you have yours set up to reach 700yds? Not sure mine will reach 700, its on a short barreled .308 win.

I have 2 already and just ordered another one on that sale, all SF 6x18x40, mildot.
Darned nice scopes, no issue turrents, precise.
I dial mine up & down all the time to 700 yards out here.
All on .223s w/20moa EGW rails on my savage rigs.
This will go on my 6x45.

It's on a Savage LPR 223 1/7 twist shooting 80gr Bergers. It is in plain rings, not sure what height off hand, but 1.75" above the bore and zeroed at 200yds. It is getting close to being maxed out, I think I can get 800yds, but I know it won't do 1000yds. I just started working with it last fall and 700yds was the longest we had set up. I'm not sold on the 1/8 clicks, but it does what I need it to for now.

Thanks guys, i like the nikon optics i had just ordered one from Midway and got notice of it shipping already. I've never had a mil - dot sot this may be good.
