788 with a red dot??

My cousin has a 788 in 243, he wants to use a red dot scope for hunting due to him wearing glasses/not comfortable with conventional scopes. He want to get a bushnell trophy red dot for it.

Im having a heck of a time finding a weaver style base for this gun and I dont think the 2 piece jobbies are going to work.

Any suggestions would be great

I have a bushnell trophy red dot and you are definately going to be limited it finding bases on a rifle action that will fit that sight.
