Im looking to load 110 or 120 grain varmint bullets for my 7mm Savage model 10. What powders have you had good luck with for similar applications? Yeah I now its overkill for varmints but it sure sounds like fun to me.

My go to accuracy load for my 7mag is a 120gr nosler BT over 65.0 gr of IMR 4350 in RP brass with a CCI250. My OAL is 3.290". It is not the fastest by any means, but at a little over 3250 in my gun I am the only reason the bullet ever misses where I intended to put it. I can count on this round to go way under 1/2 moa, yep you guessed it, all day loooong

I don't use mag primers in my 7mm mag.
The accuracy I get with standard primers is excellent, and I've had no cold weather problems with ignition.
My load is 63.5 grains of H-4831SC, 150 grain Nosler Partitions, and Federal 210 primers. Accuracy is around 1/2" for 3 shots at 100 yards, or 3/4", depending on how good I'm shooting.
That load works with 160 grain bullets too, but I'd drop a few grains of powder to begin load development. It may work in my rifle, but it may cause pressure problems in your rifle.

Probably not needed, but that is what I started with and got great results in this load so I never changed.

I use the same mag primer in all my 7mag loads, as well other mags. I also use mag primers in one 25-06 load, but intend to try to duplicat it with std primers when I get some time.
