870 barrel?

I like that barrel. You might also consider the 20" smoothbore Deer Barrel with iron sights that accepts choke tubes. The sights would allow precise adjustment of the pattern to point of aim. Either would be fine IMHO.

My 12g 870 always throws the pattern high left. I never would have thought about trying my smooth bore slug barrel. Good idea GC, are there limitations as to loads for that barrel? I was thinking about a new shotgun altogether but now I guess I'll have to try that first.

Paul,
Should shoot any load any other barrel will shoot and it takes choke tubes so the versatility is certainly there.

Im sorry I looked through all the barrels and didn't find one with DRS/Rem Choke. I must be blind, where is it??

GC,cowpoke it "looks" like those barrels are available but Rems site is not up to date. The barrel in the Midway link is not listed there.I'll have to call Rem and check what's still available. One option I'm considering is having my slug barrel threaded to accept chokes.Mike Orlen does this for 55+15 return shipping. This info from Mike is not up to date either but others might see something of interest-

What choke/constriction would be good with 4 buck?

Just a note about MGW, these guys aren't too terribly far from me and I have had them do several gunsmithing projects for me as well as bought quite a bit of stuff there. Super good quality work and good dudes to deal with.
