a2 stock opinions

Im wondering which a2 stock people like better: rock river operator or magpul moe?

I have an operator stock but have not seen the moe in person. For those that have both or have atleast shouldered both, which do you like better and why?

I like the operator alot but i recently picked up a single point sling and i wish the quick attach point was further forward on the stock like the moe. I feel like the rifle would ride better being a couple inches higher on my body and i cant tighten the sling up any more without it being uncomfortable.

I just installed the magpul on my R-15 and am quite pleased. Great quality and great fit. Plus I like the looks of the magpul a little better. But I think either one would be a good choice.

the Magpul ASAP plate will get the rifle riding higher, its personally my favorite to use for all my ar variants. between the two stocks i cannot help you. If your sling is a QD stud like an uncle mikes, several manufacturers make plates with the QD stud.

I have thought of getting an end plate like the asap or similar and modifying it to work with an a2 stock but Im not sure there is a good way to do it.

I have a push button QD "D" ring that goes into the QD holes on the side/bottom of the operator stock. Same as what is on the moe a2 but the moe has the QD hole about 2 inches closer to the receiver, essentially giving the same mounting position as a collapsible with the asap or similar end plate.

I use the A1 stock which is an inch shorter,I'm tall and longarmed but I found it fits much better since I hunt mainly in cooler/cold weather where a coat is needed.

Have you checked out the Ace Skeleton stocks? They use the A2 buffer tube and you can get a socket for the push button QD swivel that mounts close to the receiver.

Have you owned both of them? what do you like better about the moe a2? Im curious about the cheek weld compared to the operator. Who makes the rock river for them? quality is top notch.

Cheek weld is awesome! Its about the perfect setup for me except for the QD mount position. I have been leaning toward a collapsible but Im not sure if I will like it, don't want a rattling loose POS.

Found an end plate for a2 stocks to allow single point sling, anybody using anything like this?
