AA 2230 for .223 and 6x45

I am a novice re-loader. I have been reading about different types of powder and the effects of ambient temp on pressure and speed.
I have a couple of pounds of AA2230 that I have been using to load my .223 with 50 gr V-Max. In my glass-bedded Ruger M77 MKII Varmint, I can get .25" - .35" 5-shot groups all day. I am also considering using this powder for my 6x45 project. There is little on this forum on AA2230 and 6x45. AA web site has decent load data for 6x45 (2200 and 2230). I am not educated and experienced enough to know the effects of ambient temp on this powder. Up here in MN and in SD where I hunt, the range can easily be from 80F to -15F.

I appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

I shoot AA2230 in my 6x45 and 223 IMP and 222 it is temp sensitive. I drop a full grain for shooting PDs. It kills them just as dead.

AA 2230 is an excellent powder in the 223, it worked well in my .223 [bolt action] as well as my 22/250.

I have used a lot of AA2230 for summer groundhog hunting where the temps were typically in the 90s and it works fine...and I usually load to 1 grain under the maximum, so I have a margin there... Also, I follow the idea of doing load development in the summer (so you can recognize a problem load in hot weather).

AA 2230 meters very well and has been temperature stable for me. It can be hard to find around some areas, but is a very versatile powder (it was developed by IMI just for the .223).
