Does anyone have any experience with Accufire optics? I purchased one of their Night Vision optics a couple years ago. It’s the Noctis TR1 model. I purchased it after a horrible experience with an ATN optic that went back after 2 hunts. I bought the Accufire based on a couple decent reviews and the performance guarantee that Accufire touts. Well, the optic has been incredibly stable so far as functionality. But it is not without faults.
The first issue I had was that the leveling indicator was off by 10 degrees. If i set the indicator at zero the crosshairs were not level. I set the scope on a tripod and set up a bubble level and took a picture with the optic and contacted Accufire with the issue. They had me return the optic and sent me a new one. Great! Kind of? The optic I received back had no level indicators. Not the biggest issue but it is a helpful feature at times.
Second problem arises when I sight in the replacement optic. The pip crosshairs are not aligned with the main screen crosshairs. At 50 yards the difference is about an inch off. Third problem is the one shot zero isn’t even close to correct. I contacted them and they’re known issues that they’re working on. I’ll be contacted when they have a fix/firmware update.
I’ve contacted them 2 times in the past year with nothing but excuses. My last email from over a week ago has gone unanswered. I see on their website something about “We’ve removed online ordering. Please Call” banner.
Im certainly not getting a warm fuzzy feeling. The optic is functional with some obvious shortcomings but it maintains zero and doesn’t freeze up or throw any surprises. It’s too bad it has to be like this. The thing has promise but I can’t imagine things are going great as a company?
