Accurate 270 load w/ H4350?

I'm just starting out reloading, and i have been able to shoot 10 of my loads successfully. I am loading for a 270win Savage Axis which has a 22" sporter barrel with a 1/10" twist rate. Have 130gr Sierra GameKing spitzer BT bullets, and i am using CCI #200 primers with Hodgdon H4350 powder. I have loaded and shot 55 and 54.5 grain loads, which were nice and hot loads, but now i am wondering about how much of the H4350 will give me the optimal accuracy? I shot those 54.5gr loads at a 50 foot indoor range, so i couldn't really see how i was grouping.

I haven't used H4350 in my 270's, but have great luck with IMR 4350 in one and H4831 in the other. Both with 130 grain Noslers. Only by working up your own loads will you find what is accurate n your rifle.. There are no shortcuts..

Do you have any idea of maybe a velocity i can start at? I dont have many opportunities to shoot so im trying to get where i need to be in as few rounds as possible.
