Accurate innovations rifle stock

I have one on a custom rifle of mine. The stock itself is nice. It is a little on the heavy side with the aluminum block in it. Customer service was great from the company. The only problem I had was a little bit of wood had to be sanded out of the barrel channel on the left side near the end of the stock. This alone is no big deal, but two friends of mine ordered their stocks at the same time as me and they had the same thing on theirs. Overall it is a good option for a wood stock.

Excellent choice.

Small shop, every stock is rough outlined by a CNC machine then inletted and shaped by hand. Their chassis system just plain works. A lot of their customers use their stocks for big game hunting in Africa, because the chassis system not only allows super accuracy and is consistent from shot to shot, but adds a huge amount of strength to the wood. SSK Industries/B%M Rifles us their stocks exclusively for their 458 B&M calibers and I read on B&M's website that its the only wood stock that has not broken/cracked under the heavy recoil of the calibers they use.
I believe several benchrest shooters are starting to use them so they can use wood stocks.
I would call and talk to them.

1jrod, was this with the new owners or the S. Dakota owners?

K22,
I bought mine back in 2004 so I would guess it is from the old owners. I think the owner's name was Ben at the time. Like I said, overall I am happy with the stock. The amount of wood that I and my friends had to remove to free float the barrels was very minimal. Maybe an inch long sanded back about 1/8th of an inch. Very minor. I just thought it was unusual that all three stocks came that way.
I would definitely get another if I was going for a wood stock on a rifle. Nothing like a nice piece of walnut that is both good looking and very functional.

That's good to know. I think the company changed hands in 2009. I know the new owner very well and the fella who does the inletting I know as well as I do myself.

If you had this problem recently I would have sure let them know about it.

It is funny that all 3 stocks had the exact same problem. Did they use your barreled action or one they had in stock? If it was one they had I would guess that it was the reason your stocks came with an uneven barrel channel.

Good to know that you would buy another one from them if you were in the market.
