ACE Ultralight Stock

Anyone have experience with this stock? I'm thinking of using one on a grendel build. Main concern is will it stand up to the recoil?

I don't think you will have any problem due to recoil...I had one on this AR and while there is not much weight difference between it and the stock A2,,,,It always seemed to be 'front' heavy unless I was shooting from a supported position...

I think an A2 is slightly lighter. I like the compartment in the A2 for storage, I would keep an extra mouth call wrapped up in a hanky in mine in case of malfunction or dead batteries. I currently have an Ace skeleton, but I will be going back with an A2 on my next lower.

I love the ace stock i got to run the recoil pad spacer to get it a little longer. Other then that no problems at all. I have ran the ace on a 243 wssm the 25 wssm several 223. And a buddy had one on his 22-250. Not a single problem with any. There a good light stock.

Same experience I had. By far my favorite stock for PD field and 3 Gun matches. I've used it from 20 Tactical to 25 WSSM and everything in between.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not asking about the stock ya'll have pictured above though. I'm referring to this one: http://riflestocks.com/store/product9.html

Probably should have linked it in the OP. Supposed to be 5 oz, which should be noticeably lighter than the A2.

Good point Turtle, I'm still looking for all my parts, I'm hoping to find a light barrel, ~32oz without muzzledevice, coupled with a carbon fiber handguard. I'm hoping the balance isn't terrible.

Giving this a bump. I love my Ace stock that was in the pictures in the other posts. I would love to get some reports on the one in the link you shared.

I had one on a 6.8 and it did just fine. I would not be concerned about the recoil. I think I actually had it on my 7-08 at one time.

I just picked up an Ace ultralite stock...Very comfortable. The foam tube is tricky to get over the buffer tube though....

Use a little water based "personal lubricant" (AKA Astroglide) and it will slide right on and dry in place.

that side charging 6.8 is awesome. I had the ace skeleton stock on a 20" dpms bull. love that stock, very comfortable to shoot.
