Does anyine know of a Speaker then can be added to a Cass Creek Call , I know they make there own but haven't heard much good about them ,just wondered if is another way to do this . ( main goal is to get sound away from me when calling, maybe 50 too 100 feet?? Will the Call still emit sound when a speaker is Plugged in to it??
Thanks
Dave

I got curious and plugged the speaker from the Preymaster into the cass creek, not very loud at all, the cass creek itself is louder than with the Preymaster speaker.

I have plugged my Cass Creek Caller into the Radio Shack Mini Amp played through a Speco SPC-5 Speaker. Actually the sound wasn't too bad, though not as clear sounding as when the Rio 600 MP3 Player is used. However using the Cass Creek Caller with the Radio Shack Mini Amp and Speco Speaker there was more than enough volume.

I mounted the Radio Shack Mini Amp in a Radio Shack Project Box (#270-1805, 6"x3"x2") with a seperate On-Off Switch and an Indicator Light showing when the amp is on. I then just plug in whatever sound source I want to use.

Radio Shack has a small external amp you can plug the extended speaker wire into and then plug the speaker into it as well.....once the search feature comes back up, do a search on home made e-callers and you'll find a pic of the amp I'm talking about. It is a very small unit so it is handy.

I found this out today,I took my Cass Creek Pred. and bought cables at Radioshak for $10,plugged it into my DeWalt shop radio,(it has an aux. jack)and it is loud and clear.

Cass Creek offers one - most places that retail the callers stock the extra speakers. call the place you bought your caller at.

Product info: Price $18.95
Cass Creek Game Call Speaker. Amplify any Cass Creek Game Call by extending its range with this speaker. You can use the included 25-foot or 3-foot cord with the speaker for amplified distance or close-in calling. Lightweight and pocket-sized, they can be easily carried. A lanyard attachment allows for quick attachment, and the natural bark camouflage finish lets the speaker blend into its surroundings. It also has an on/off switch and mini-cord jack. Operates on four AA batteries (not included).

I have several Cass Creek Calls with their speaker, and a total of 52 feet of wire....sounds pretty good, with volumn also....just messing around now and then...I drive the Crows nuts...

All speakers are not the same and some caution is advised. 8 ohms, 16 ohms, etc. is the impedence of the speaker. It's an important number if you start to approach certain wattage factors that you may be outputing from your source. If you put speakers in series, the impedence adds up. If you put speakers in parallel, the impedence divides up, so more current can pass thru the speakers and burn 'em up. So, if you have a 16 ohm speaker on the ourput of something that normally would have an 8 ohm speaker, the volume is reduced. I think that's how it goes! If you have an 8 ohm speaker on something designed to handle 16 ohms, increasing the output (volume) could burn out the source by drawing too much current.
