K, so for those of you who have them where did you get it and what did it cost? Is it accurate? I know they ask for temp but is that really THAT important? If i shoot in temps ranging from low teens to mid 90's would you tell em a number in the middle?
The scope will be my leupold VxIII 6.5-20x40.

I have had a few Leupolds with knobs.

I had them done at the Leupold Custom Shop. I traded one of them, but it always worked well. I still have the other and have used it with excellent results.

I was happy with the work both times.

temp is important because the density of the air changes during temp changes, molecules become more dense (cold) and less dense (hot), and in long range it has an effect on the round.
regarding effects of temp on the powder, a basic rule of thumb is for every degree temp dec/inc so does velocity by 1fps, its not 100% accurate but it will get you closer than not entering powder temp as a variable in your program... lots of guys keep their rounds in there pocket to keep warm in the cold, but then your shooting an 80 degree powder in sub zero conditions, so you better have your calculations in order... either way.

I've used every type of Leupy turret ever made.

Never mentioned temp. I always go with standard type, not caliber specific BDC type.

Get some M1s and rock on........

K, so I just got off the phone with the custom shop, I have to send my scope in and the cost of the install and turret is $150. How does the KentonIndustries turret get away with not having to send them the scope since it has the coin slot adjuster?

I have a Leupold VX III CDS 4.5x14 40mm Has anybody put the kentonindustries wind turret on and is this worth while or should I just send to back to Leupold ?

I`d send it in to Leupold for some M1`s. I could see using the Kentons if your scope manufacturer didn`t have turrets available. JMHO
